Random List

1. This last week was my birthday. I had to work. It wasn't too bad until my 17-yr old female patient with an attitude starting cursing at me to let her go home, which I have no control over. Later she apoligized. Then she got to go home. And I smiled.

2. I made a friend this past week. She is a friend of a friends and we have a lot in common. This is very exciting. Making friends here has been slow and exhausting. Need I say again, this is very exciting.

3. I watched The Bachelorette last night. Had to get caught up on my online tv. I don't normally get caught up in this show, well maybe a little, but this guy, Frank, is so cute. I know, a little nerdy looking, but he's so cute and has a great sense of humor. I also like Ty, he's got this southern drawel and is really sweet. Anyways, those are my top picks right now, but I'll keep you posted. These things always change as we get to see them throughout the season! Oh, and if your making fun of me right about now, you better quit because you watch, these guys are going to be there in the end. I'm always right about this!

4. One of my patients this week was really nice. He was an older guy with a great sense of humor. Such a great sense of humor that when he started vomiting I thought he was joking. Once I actually saw the vomit I wiped the smirk off my face and took action. This is one aspect of nursing I hate. Vomit is disgusting.

5. My parents are coming over for the weekend. I can't tell you how exciting I am to see them. I've been looking forward to this since I've been living here. It's going to be fun!
