Christmas List

1. Merry day after Christmas.  Yesterday I was busy not celebrating Christmas because we are going to do "Late Christmas" at our house when the rest of the family gets into town.  Actually, I did still celebrate Christmas....the birth of our savior.  Christ is born!
2. I tend to be a little bit of a schmuck this time of year.  I get frustrated at the crowds.  I hate how people celebrate Santa and not Christ.  Gifts need to be expensive, not thoughtful.  You get me?  I'm working on it.
3. Everyone is including my sister and I as a single entity this year.  Just because we live together right now doesn't mean we're married.  We are only getting one christmas photo in the mail and we have already started arm-wrestling over who gets to keep them.  If you are guilty of this, don't take this comment personal.  We just love you so much we both want our own picture of your family.  But don't worry, I'm stronger than my sister and I'll win all the cards.
4. Today I was at "girls afternoon" with some of my best friends from college.  We put cucumber masks on our face, drank lemon drops, and soaked our feet for home spa day.  We laughed way too much and it was nice.  And everyone got to experience my lack of hearing......Who's Gary?  They'll know what I'm talking about.  PS- We missed you Julie!!
5. I was supposed to work Christmas Eve, but luckily was on stand-by then low census for part of the night.  I was glad not be working, but secretly I wouldn't have been sad to work the holiday.  Something about bringing cheer to those stuck in the hospital on Christmas would have made me happy.  Besides, the patients we've had in lately have been stinkin' hilarious.  
6. Next week I'm finally going to get up to the ski hill and I am stoked!  I bought new gear this year at the ski swap and I'm ready to go!!  Anybody want to join me?
