Work has been just nuts lately. I mentioned before that we've had some hilarious patients lately, but we've had some rough cases as well. Some doctors don't like to treat patients over the holidays. I've been utterly exhausted to the core and going back to work tomorrow actually sounds awful, and it's not very often I think that. But alas, I will go, because somebodies got to make a living. And I'm going on VACATION!
Next week my sister and I will leave for Hawaii!! I've never been and I'm so ready. We had talked about being vacation buddies because we like to do all the same stuff, like laying on the beach all day. When she moved in with me we realized what a better time than now? So we're doing it. Taking the baby and all. It's going to be great...stay tuned.
My christmas was celebrated late due to my work schedule and my family was very gracious in waiting for me and my other sister. We had a nice time as one big happy family, but it was a bit of a letdown when all was said and done. I hate the post-Christmas blues. It shouldn't be like that, but regardless of how we try not to hype up Christmas, the blues inevitably follow. My motto is: Move on. Let it go.
I convinced Kristen to go skiing with me on my days off. It took some work, but once I got her up there she started showing me up and I started rethinking my convincing. No joke....I thought I'd impress her with my mad skiing skills but I guess God wanted to humble me because I took some pretty hard, hilarious falls. I literally fell on a completely straight, flat stretch and could not get back up. What can I say? I caught an edge.
Basically, it was a pretty low-key Christmas filled with good food, games, family time, and a break from work.
Happy New Year!!!

Looks like you had fun and I can only imagine how hard Kristen giggled (we all know she doesn't laugh, she giggles) when you fell over!
Have fun on your vacay. :)
