I'm Kelsy. I'm a nurse. I work the night shift on a crazy surgical unit and you would not believe the stuff that happens when sick people sleep. To hear more about that and other stories read on....

Today

7:30am- Alarm beeping. Wake up. Yes, I made myself get up early. The point is to fall asleep at a decent hour tonight. Night shift still hates me.
7:35am- Watch an episode of "Lost" on netflix while I wait for my coffee to finish brewing. I love the anticipation of how good my coffee is going to be each day.
8:15am- Watch the last episodes of The Bachelorette. I now think Chris is the guy for Ali. If she doesn't realize it than that's actually good for me. I love Chris. If Ali doesn't go for him, I will personally hunt him down and force him to marry me. And people, there is nothing wrong with that. Look at him....9:23am- Wander the aisles of Walmart. Pick out some flowers. Buy food I'll never eat. Check out. I spent $110.01. This is embarassing. What did I buy?
11:46am- Transfer flowers to pots. Pull weeds. Let the sun kiss me.
12:00pm- Decide to capitalize on the sunshine. Set out a jar of sun tea. Pull out my lawn chair. Sunbathe. Listen to my ipod. Call my sister. Voicemail. Call my other sister. Chat.
4:00pm- Burnt, but still sitting in the sun. It feels so good.
4:21pm- Shower
5:02pm- Try of my bridesmaid dress for Nurse Kristin's wedding next week. Crap. It doesn't fit the way it used to. Safety pins to the rescue. Try on a bunch of other summer clothes. Throw them all over my bed and floor.
5:38pm- Finish picking up my room. Wash the dishes.
6:00 Make a "Roast Beef Salad." Recipe came from Real Simple magazine. Looked way better in the magazine. Maybe because I didn't actually have to prepare it.
7:30pm- Write blog post. Spend 2o minutes figuring out how to spell "aisles." Still doesn't look right.
7:52pm- Planning on eating a huge cup of ice cream. Read a few other blogs.
10:00pm- I'll be in bed. Pleading for sleep. Psyching myself out for work tomorrow night. It's my last day of orientation. Then I'll be off like a race horse.

What did you do today?

Have I ever mentioned how much I love your blog posts? You have so much to share and I just love soaking it all up! And I totally agree with you about Chris...he is fine! If I weren't married, I would be after him too :)

P.S. Can't wait to come visit you in one month!

I love your blog posts too!!!! You've inspired me. I think I'll do one for today. And you make me laugh...aisles is right but what a dumb way to spell a word that should be spelled "iles". :)

Ditto on Julie's words. You inspire me. Your blog and you as a person. You are one of the twenty-somethings that give me great hope for the future. And you know how to share your day so we feel like we were there!

this is by far my fave post :). Lots of laughs just reading your thought processes of the day! And I was baffled by the name "brad" today....my bro-in-law...it just sounded SO strange to me today when I said it. Anyway, you are awesome and I love you!
