I'm Kelsy. I'm a nurse. I work the night shift on a crazy surgical unit and you would not believe the stuff that happens when sick people sleep. To hear more about that and other stories read on....

Last Weekend

This last weekend I took my firest trip home(I know I didn't last long). There were a few things going on I just had to go home and participate!
So first off I went to see my special Lucy(5 yrs) and Molly(3 yrs), and of course their mother. It was the highlight of my weekend when I picked up Molly to hug her and the first word out of her mouth was "Underpants!!" She was so excited to tell me that she now wears underpants and no more daipers. Potty training is so exciting!
Next I had coffee with my close friend from high school/college, Kaleena. She is a nurse too, so we swapped disgusting nursing stories over coffee. It was much needed and it is so nice to have someone who understands the profession and the language we speak.

It was really nice to be home for a bit with my parents, but then we all drove down south to attend the wedding of one of my college friends. It was a beautiful wedding, and I was able to see a lot of other friends too! Congrats Katie and JB!!

On Sunday I saddled up to do the annual 10K with my mother and our closest friends the A's. We had a blast people watching and chatting. As usual I ended up with two large blisters on my pinky toes, and the next day at work for my 12 hour shift I decided I would never do that again.

Overall it was a great weekend away, but it was back to work this week. I'm so thankful that I'm still close enough to have weekends like this!!
Also here's a shoutout to little Hollyn, the newest member of the coolest family ever! Happy Birthday pretty girl!! Congrats Amy and Joel!!
